Johnson Pharmaceutical<br \/>\nResearch Institute, Raritan, NJ 08869, xchen3@prius.jnj.com<br \/>\n<em>223rd ACS National Meeting<\/em><br \/>\nOrlando, FL<br \/>\nApril 7 &#8211; 11, 2002<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<strong>Abstract<\/strong><br \/>\nAn in-house similarity searching system, PRISM (PRI Similarity Miner), has<br \/>\nbeen developed for the general purpose of lead identification for drug discovery.<br \/>\nIts algorithm is based on the fusion of 2D linear fragment descriptors of<br \/>\ndifferent sizes, which reflect different degrees of fuzziness. The details of this<br \/>\nalgorithm will be explained. Some validation results, using the NCI AIDS and<br \/>\nMDDR data sets, will be presented.
