{"id":101,"date":"2007-12-20T14:12:19","date_gmt":"2007-12-20T14:12:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.alquier.org\/linfa\/play\/2007\/12\/20\/discovery_about_load_order_and\/"},"modified":"2007-12-20T14:12:19","modified_gmt":"2007-12-20T14:12:19","slug":"discovery_about_load_order_and","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.alquier.org\/laurent\/sites\/2007\/12\/20\/discovery_about_load_order_and\/","title":{"rendered":"Discovery about load order and crash on exit, the plot thickens.."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(Summary from a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bethsoft.com\/bgsforums\/index.php?showtopic=788072&amp;hl=\">post in the Bethesda forum<\/a>).<br \/>\nI got tired of getting a systematic crash on exit with my game, so I started playing with the load order.<br \/>\nAfter a lot of trials and errors, here is what I found.<br \/>\nMy load order ends something like this :<br \/>\n[Group 1 &#8211; Knights.esp + patches]\n[Group 2 &#8211; ShiveringIsles.esp + patches]\n[Group 3 &#8211; UniqueLandscape mods]\n[Group 4 &#8211; Better cities mods]\n[Group 5 &#8211; House mods]\n[Group 6 &#8211; mythsandlegends + darker dungeons + Slof&#8217;s Oblivion Robe Trader + Origin of the Mages Guild + MannimarcoRevisited]\n[Group 7 &#8211; Utilities &#8211; Streamline etc&#8230;]\nI found that if I activate any of the mods in Group 6, Oblivion always crashed on exit.<br \/>\nHowever, if I move all 5 mods in Group 6 before Group 1 (Knight of the Nine), the crashes on exit vanished !<br \/>\nI do not know enough about dissecting mods, so I am at a loss as to why these mods would cause a crash on exit when activate *after* Knights (or Shivering Isles&#8230; I didn&#8217;t check which one it is), while UL and Better Cities mods do not cause a crash.<br \/>\nFor the time being, getting rid of Knights of the nine altogether seemed to have resolved most of my crashes on exit. Instead, I am now getting a new issue where Oblivion takes a very long time to quit (up to 20 minutes !).<br \/>\nSometimes I wish I had crashes on exit again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(Summary from a post in the Bethesda forum).
