No cursor. And of course, no touchpad.<\/p>\n<p>A quick look under the system logs indicated errors with &#8216;being able to enumerate the USB device&#8217;. A &#8216;repair permissions&#8217; later (from Disk Utility&#8230; always useful anyways), the problem was still happening.<\/p>\n<p>I was about to call it a night when I decided to try it on my laptop&#8230; and it worked! LEDs, pen, touchpad. The culprit was a faulty factory cable.
